We were delighted to return to Hong Kong recently for what proved to be a rewarding and successful visit. The trip provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen existing relationships, establish new connections, and spend time with education partners, prospective pupils, and the families of both current and Old Rockportians.
During his visit, our Headmaster met with a number of highly regarded education agencies, including Maple Overseas Education, Amber Education, Academic Asia, British United Education Services, AAS Education, International Language Centre and HK Overseas Studies Centre. These conversations were both productive and forward-looking, allowing us to share developments at Rockport, discuss the evolving educational landscape, and explore how we can continue working together to support ambitious young people and their families.
A particular highlight of the visit was our event for prospective families, graciously hosted by Boarding Bridge Education. It was a pleasure to meet so many pupils planning their next educational steps and to advise them on what a Rockport education can offer. The enthusiasm shown by the young people we met was inspiring, and we greatly valued the thoughtful questions posed by parents who are carefully considering the best environment in which their children can flourish.
Equally special was the opportunity to reconnect with families of current pupils and to spend time with Old Rockportians now based in Hong Kong. Hearing about their achievements and the varied paths they have taken since leaving Rockport was a powerful reminder of the enduring strength of our community. Hong Kong holds a special place in Rockport’s story, and we are immensely proud of the contribution our Hong Kong alumni continue to make in their chosen fields across the world.
Although it was a whistle-stop visit, every meeting reaffirmed the depth of our connections in the region and the shared commitment to providing young people with an education that nurtures character, confidence and intellectual curiosity. We only wished for more time to continue conversations, renew friendships and build new partnerships.
We extend our sincere thanks to all the families, Old Rockportians and agency partners who took the time to meet with us. Your continued trust and engagement mean a great deal to our school. We look forward to returning to Hong Kong again soon and to further strengthening the ties that have long linked Rockport and this vibrant, dynamic city.
