What a fantastic day for our A Level pupils as they achieve another bumper set of results. 98.3% of the grades achieved in Upper Sixth were pass grades, with a hugely impressive 91.4% of the grades achieved at A*-C level, outperforming the UK average by an incredible 13%. Rockport pupils also outperformed their counterparts across the UK and Northern Ireland at both A*-A grades and A* grades; with an outstanding 37.9% of the results achieved at grades A* and A and a very pleasing 10.3% of the A level results achieved at the top grade, A*.
As a comparison, the following table highlights the great performance of the cohort:
UK A Level Results Summer 2026 | Northern Ireland A Level Results Summer 2026 | Rockport School A Level Results Summer 2026
% pass rate at Grades A*- C or equivalent | 78.4% | 86.9% | 91.4% |
% pass rate at Grades A*-A or equivalent | 28.5% | 30.7% | 37.9% |
% pass rate at Grade A* or equivalent | 9.6% | 8.8% | 10.3% |
A huge well done to all our students, and particularly those students who managed to achieve all A and A* grades, including Alicia Davidson, who secured A* grades in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics. Alicia is hoping to read Veterinary Medicine in University College, Dublin. Well done also to Olivia Watson, who achieved A*AA grades in Digital Technology, Geography and Professional Business Services and has been accepted to study Law at Queen’s University, Belfast.
We wish all our leavers every success in their future pathways, happy in the knowledge that they have given of their best and learnt many valuable life-skills on the way.
Not to be outdone, the Lower Sixth cohort also covered themselves in glory too, with a most pleasing set of results. The following table illustrates that their performance at the top grade of A (A* is only possible at A2 level):
UK AS Results Summer 2026 | Rockport AS Results Summer 2026
% of grades achieved at grades A-C | 67.4% | 76.2% |
% grades achieved at top grade A | 24.7% | 27% |
Well done to all of our students and in particular to those students who managed to secure all A grades at AS Level, including Eva Cross-Duffy, who has secured 5A grades in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and French (which is a full A Level) and Andrew Marshall, who has achieved top A grades in AS Digital Technology, Physics and Mathematics (also a full A Level).
Well done to all our Rockport leavers, you have certainly made your mark on our school. We can’t wait to see what you do in the future, and feel privileged to have been a part of your journey.
