When your child joins Rockport the whole family become part of the school. The Rockport PTA not only raise funds to provide such extras as a minibus, sports equipment, interactive white boards and lights for the school Drama production, they also have a lot of fun. Also research has shown that parental involvement has a very significant impact on a child’s achievement and attainment at school. Schools and parents have vital roles to play in helping children to learn.
Activities are wide ranging from an annual May Ball on the lawn, to pub quizzes, lessons in how to cook the perfect dinner party from a local chef, a session on how to improve your image, to family camping with songs and a barbeque round the camp fire.
The PTA are always looking for volunteers for the committee so do not be shy. It is a great way to make new friends as well as enhancing your social life.
