Science, Maths & ICT
The Mathematics, Science and ICT faculty is headed by Colin Reid. The Mathematics Department staff include Colin Reid and David Moody, and the Science Department is currently staffed by Mr Brian Donaldson and Miss Victoria Carson. The ICT department is headed by Mr Brian Lockett. Also on our staff is Mrs Claire Williamson who is our representative from pre-prep and also a Science co-ordinator for the Pre-prep.
Currently we have two Mathematics Labs and two Science Labs, along with three ICT Suites. It is hoped that we can further extend the ICT department into every classroom. Year 5 – 7 follow a Northern Ireland Curriculum based Mathematics syllabus generated to enable pupils to prepare for the 11+. Year 8 – 12 are taught through the AQA syllabus, with Year 10 sitting Key Stage 3 examinations.
