Humanities
The member of staff responsible for this G.C.S.E. option is Mrs Dawn Toland. The Humanities Faculty has seen great success with its students at G.C.S.E., with pupils achieving a high level of success in all subjects studied.
At an extra-curricular level, the Faculty provides a wide range of after school activities and clubs to cater for pupils in the evening. These change on a termly basis. On a rotational basis, major school trips are organised in conjunction with other Faculties (e.g. Language Trips to France or Spain, Cultural / Geographical / Historical trips abroad). Also, class teachers take their pupils on regular outings, with, for example, Religious Studies classes visiting local churches, Geography classes going to see local landmarks and History classes going to visit museums and exhibitions. The aim of the Faculty is to nurture each individual child in order that he or she may reach his/ her full potential.
