Humanities
The Faculty of Humanities encompasses the following Departments:
- Modern Languages (French and Spanish)
- History
- Geography
- Religious Studies
- Media Studies
Modern Languages are introduced as early as possible in the Pre-Prep Department, with French being introduced at Year 4. By the time these children reach Year 8, they have become quite proficient orally. The new intake in Year 8 forms a new set for Beginners French. In Year 9, the option is available, for those who are capable, to study a second language, Spanish, with the view to continuing to G.C.S.E. Both languages are offered successfully at G.C.S.E.
