Scottish Dancing
This club runs for twelve weeks each year and introduces the pupils to the basic steps of Scottish Country Dancing, namely, the skip change of step, the slip step and the pas de bas. They also learn a few well known dances such as "The Dashing White Sergeant" and "The Gay Gordons".
It's a fun way to learn a new skill and also to get fit and shed a few pounds! Not, of course, to be confused with Highland Dancing which involves swords and a lot of leaping high into the air (not at all appropriate for well educated children!)
