Rounders
Rounders is very popular club, usually held in the long summer evenings of the final term. Both staff and pupils head out to the fields for fun and laughter as teachers try to master bowling and pupils perfect their batting and fielding techniques. Then its down to the serious business of notching up a good score and catching the batting team out.
The competition is fierce, but good-humoured, as teammates dash between bases and fielders race to retrieve almost certain home runs. The pupils’ enthusiasm usually means that there is always time for "just one more innings", in an attempt to gain the last few runs needed for victory. However, win or lose, rounders is a great way to end a busy day and guarantees a good nights sleep!
