Destination of Leavers
Children at Rockport are prepared for the 11 plus examination if required and some will leave to go on the local grammar schools at the age of eleven. Others choose to stay through to sixteen. Rockport also prepares children for Common Entrance and a small number of pupils each year go on to public schools on England and Scotland including Harrow, Rugby and Shrewsbury.
After completing GCSE examinations pupils again go on to local grammar schools and others go across to the mainland to schools such as Fettes and Gordonstoun to complete their education in the sixth form. A small number go to the Republic to schools such as St Columba's in Dublin.
The school enjoys close links with all these schools and is happy to help parents and pupils make suitable and informed choices about their future.
